Lead UX Researcher

Edinburgh, Scotland

We’re a leading online reviews platform, free and open to all. Our mission is to be a universal symbol of trust. We are well on our way - but there’s still an exciting journey ahead of us. Do you want to join us?

We’re looking for a Lead UX Researcher to lead research across our Consumer and B2B products. You’ll work directly with the Design Director and Product Director in each product, to conduct strategic, foundational research on high-profile impactful projects aligned with our mid- to long-term strategic goals. You’ll join a growing Design team and be a part of Design leadership. You’ll use your wealth of experience to coach our other two researchers, and you'll support cross-functional teams to conduct their own directional and validation research. You’ll work as a team on building out research ops processes and a successful research repository.

Future plans include a growing research team, either based around leadership and management from this role if that’s your aspiration, or working with you to bring in a manager if your future lies in craft leadership instead.

In your role, you will:

  • Partner with design, product management, and engineering to plan and prioritise research, and align it with strategic goals

  • Develop compelling ways to communicate, socialize and promote research findings throughout the company to facilitate an informed, user-centred mindset.

  • Advocate for the value of research to the wider organisation

  • Coach two researchers, empowering them to grow

  • Lead on research ops goals

We are looking for people with:

  • 6+ years of UX research experience, with a proven history of conducting strategic research projects.

  • Experience in mentoring researchers and empowering them to flourish.

  • Experience working in a innovative agile work-environment. Ethnography, service design, user research or equivalent experience in product-focussed companies.

  • Experience teasing out the known-unknowns, and enabling product organisations to excel at both the shorter term summative testing and the longer term generative

We are:

A fast growing team of product designers and UX researchers based in Copenhagen, Edinburgh, London, and Vinius. We work as part of cross-functional product team directly with product managers and engineers. We ❤️ Figma and Miro and paper the most. Being a universal symbol of trust starts with great user experience and transparency, so we’re at the heart of the product development strategy at Trustpilot.

We offer:

  • An opportunity to work alongside skilled, passionate people in a rapidly growing, innovative company

  • An exciting and equal opportunity workplace with diverse perspectives and ideas

  • An attractive salary package, bonus scheme and stock options

  • Flexible working

  • Inclusive colleagues who have a desire to learn, share and innovate

  • Opportunities to grow your skills and develop your career

  • Two (paid) volunteering days a year to spend your time giving back to the causes that matter to you and your community
