We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Marketing Technology to lead our marketing technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of marketing automation platforms, website delivery, API integrations, cloud technologies, and content management systems. They will be responsible for driving the technical strategy and execution of our marketing technology stack, ensuring that it supports our business objectives and enhances our ability to engage with customers effectively.

What you’ll be doing:

Marketing Automation Platforms:

  • Lead the implementation and optimization of marketing automation platforms with Salesforce
  • Develop and implement automated marketing campaigns to advance customer acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Analyse performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve campaign effectiveness

Website Delivery and Management:

  • Oversee the delivery of website projects, managing both front-end and back-end developers to ensure high-quality and timely delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly Product and Marketing teams, to define website requirements, including design, functionality, and user experience
  • Ensure website scalability, performance, and security through proper architecture and technology stack selection

API Integrations and Cloud Technologies:

  • Design and implement RESTful API integrations to connect various marketing systems and data sources
  • Leverage AWS cloud ecosystem or similar cloud technologies to build scalable and efficient marketing infrastructure
  • Advance innovation by exploring and adopting new technologies and tools that enhance our marketing capabilities

Content Management System (CMS) Integration:

  • Lead integration efforts between our CMS (Contentful) and other marketing systems, such as Salesforce Experience Cloud
  • Ensure seamless content workflows and efficient content delivery across digital channels

Technical SEO and Engineering Best Practices:

  • Implement technical SEO best practices, including website migrations, Core Web Vitals optimization, international SEO, and hreflang implementation
  • Establish engineering best practices such as CI/CD, configuration management, test automation, observability, and release management.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the engineering team

Development Technologies:

  • Utilize development technologies such as Java, JavaScript (React, Node.js), and other relevant frameworks to build scalable and performant marketing solutions
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to advance innovation and maintain a competitive edge

Who you are:

  • Proven experience in marketing technology, with a focus on marketing automation, website delivery, and API integrations
  • Proven experience managing MarTech platforms and tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Google Analytics).
  • Demonstrated expertise in marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, or Adobe Experience Cloud
  • Proficiency in front-end and back-end development technologies, including JavaScript, Java, React, Node.js, etc
  • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS or similar cloud platforms.
  • Full understanding of content management systems, with hands-on experience in Contentful
  • Technical SEO expertise, including website migrations, Core Web Vitals optimization, and international SEO
  • Experience leading engineering best practices such as CI/CD, test automation, and release management
  • Advanced communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team of developers

Desired Attributes:

  • Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud and other Salesforce products
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics platforms and data visualization tools
  • Certification in relevant technologies or platforms (e.g., Salesforce, AWS)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or related field
