Senior Commercial Business Partner

New York

At Trustpilot, we're on an incredible journey. We're a profitable, high-growth FTSE-250 company with a big vision: to become the universal symbol of trust. We run the world's largest independent consumer review platform, and while we've come a long way, there's still so much exciting work to do. Come join us at the heart of trust!

We're scaling a Commercial Finance & Analytics function that empowers business leaders to make smart, data-informed decisions. We're looking for a sharp, commercially minded, and analytically driven business partner to join the team — someone who thrives at the intersection of data, storytelling, and strategic influence.

As our Senior Commercial Business Partner, you'll work hand-in-hand with our VP of Commercial for the US, translating complex data into clear strategic direction and helping drive sustainable growth. This is a high-impact role that goes well beyond reporting: you'll be a trusted advisor, a compelling storyteller, and a proactive driver of commercial performance. You'll shape the conversation in the room — not just support it.

Reporting into the Senior Director of Commercial Finance and working closely with Sales Operations and Data Analytics teams, you'll be the connective tissue between data and decision-making across the US commercial organization.

What you'll be doing

Be the strategic partner to the US VP

  • Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the VP of US Commercial, bringing clarity and confidence to strategic decisions through data-driven insight.
  • Proactively surface risks, opportunities, and performance trends before they're asked for — guiding the VP with a clear point of view, not just a set of numbers.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and performance narratives to senior leadership, making complex analysis accessible and actionable.

Bring data to life

  • Own the design and work with the wider data teams on developing visually engaging dashboards and reporting tools (Looker, Salesforce) that tell the story of commercial financial performance across the full sales funnel.
  • Go beyond the "what" to explain the "why" — translating metrics into meaningful narratives that drive action.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in commercial data to generate insights that directly influence go-to-market strategy.

Drive commercial performance and planning

  • Develop, monitor, and evolve commercials financial targets and KPIs across the sales funnel, partnering with Sales Operations to ensure forecast accuracy and pipeline visibility.
  • Support budgeting and headcount planning cycles, providing the analytical backbone to commercial decisions.
  • Contribute to strategic projects such as pricing model development, territory design, incentive structuring, and product monetization.
  • Partner with regional commercial teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and headcount plans.
  • Support the FP&A team in delivering accurate local P&Ls, including expected cost and bookings projections.

Champion continuous improvement

  • Proactively identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions — whether through process improvements, new analytical frameworks, or smarter use of tooling.
  • Share best practices across the broader Commercial Business Partnering team and help raise the analytical bar across the organization.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with senior managers, Sales Operations, and Data Analytics to ensure alignment and collaborative execution.

Who you are

  • You have proven experience in a commercial business partnering, sales analytics, or commercial finance role — ideally within a SaaS or subscription-based environment.
  • You're a natural storyteller with data: you don't just build models and dashboards, you shape narratives and influence decisions with them.
  • You're proficient in Looker and/or Tableau, and comfortable working within Salesforce and CRM ecosystems. You go well beyond Excel.
  • You have strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large, complex datasets — distilling them into clear, prioritized insights for senior audiences.
  • You're commercially minded, with an understanding of SaaS business models, go-to-market strategy, and sales funnel dynamics.
  • You're confident presenting to and engaging with senior stakeholders, including VP and executive level — you hold your own in the room.
  • You're proactive, curious, and impact-driven — you spot the question behind the question and bring the answer before it's asked.
  • You can balance strategic thinking with the willingness to get into the detail when it matters, without losing sight of the big picture.
  • You bring a collaborative mindset and take pride in building trusted relationships across teams, regions, and functions.

What's in it for you

  • A competitive base salary range of $146,000 to $172,000 (dependent on experience), plus bonus
  • A range of flexible working options to dedicate time to what matters to you
  • 20 vacation days + 2 personal days + 10 paid holidays per year
  • Two paid volunteering days a year
  • Rich learning and development opportunities through the Trustpilot Academy and Blinkist
  • Full health insurance
  • 401k matching contributions dollar-for-dollar up to 4% of your base salary
  • Discounted club membership at Life Time Fitness
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Plan and full access to Headspace
  • Paid parental leave
  • A vibrant New York office with a rooftop deck, foosball table, unlimited snacks and drinks, and regular team events
  • Regular opportunities to connect with fellow Trusties through company-wide celebrations, ERG activities, and team socials

Still not sure?

We want to be a part of creating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive world of work for all. We're excited to hear about your experiences and how you'll contribute to our culture. So even if you don't feel you meet every requirement, we'd still love to hear from you.
